Steeped in history the Seaway Valley boasts a unique past and promising future. Offering special attractions to all that take the time to drop by - come and check out what makes it a wonderful tourist destination. Timeless beauty has blossomed with heritage and provides images of doing things in a gentler, less hurried way. A countryside littered with reminders of a lifetime long ago, the seaway entices you to drop by and learn about our past. Local historical sites allow tourists to reminisce about the good old days and how life must have been along the banks of the mighty St Lawrence river.
We are fortunate to live in an area of such natural beauty which also boasts such a high potential for recreation and tourism. The St Lawrence River has long held the reputation of being North Americas finest River. It is the most stable river in the world; it leads to the great lakes reaching into the heart of the Continent; its eastern section as far as Montreal is fit for ocean-going vessels. With the St Lawrence Parks Commission’s Upper Canada Village, numerous camp grounds and beaches, tens of thousands of people come to our area each summer. Many local businesses benefit from the influx of tourist each summer.
South Stormont is a great place to visit and an even better place to call home.
The natural beauty of the region including the St Lawrence River has been well preserved. This leads to unique recreational development opportunities and a quality of life that is second to none. Combine this with good public services, low cost housing, and a safe and tranquil environment.
here is an abundance of good land, that is close to public amenities, which is suitable for residential and commercial development.
All in all, South Stormont, is a place where both families and business can prosper in a safe, clean environment.
The place where we live; The place where others come to vacation.
Please accept our invitation to visit and experience what everyone is talking about
